List of Allowed Filehosts (Uploaders MUST Read)

Well MechoDownloads will only allow these filehosts to be posted as of today.
Because of the big incident involving Megauploads, many filehosts have backed out with their Affiliate Program, deleted mass accounts and uploads.

So many Uploaders are pissed at them, and have decided not to use them ever again. But we are going to go with the few filehosts everyone uses as of now as backups.

Rapidshare.com
Hotfile.com
Putlocker.com
Netload.in
FileFactory.com
Oron.com
Mediafire.com
Uploading.com
Megashares.com
Depositfiles.com
Crocko.com

TY for the list - To bad about the blocking of IP numbers in the U.S. - Im looking for the work around on this problem, and have found there are ways to change the IP to look like it from some place else in the world. The only problem is all the services ive found cost - Ill keep looking to see if "WE" can continue share and not have the need to pay extra for the service.

Thanks for this list. Those who wish to upload needed some sort of guidance and, perhaps, this will help get the situation resolved.

New Files Hosts

Hello all!

Given the current situation and paranoia permeating our society, it is only understandable that folks are looking for alternate file hosting sites. However, I am finding that there are a ton of spammers out there who are taking advantage of the current status quo, as it were.

In the past, filesonic has been one of the standard hosts on this forum. I was wondering if we could perhaps establish a new host as our standard. I have been trying out Depositfiles, Filepost and Hotfile the last few days and I have no adverse comments to report. I find Depositfiles and Filepost particularly suitable as their file downloader programs work brilliantly.

If anybody here is of a similar opinion, or perhaps the mods have some points they would like to address, please make your opinion be heard.

It will certainly take a few weeks for the dust to settle, but if we can get something going which makes it easier for all the users here it would be swell.

I currently have paid for all three of the above mentioned services in order to give them a look see. If there are other suitable options available that would be agreeable to all here it would be good to hear about them.

I have also given Oron and Rapidshare a try and found that they are both terrible. The download speeds are appalling and Oron especially seems to attract a ton of spammers.

That's my two cents on the matter.
