How To Utilize Search Function

Many of you DO NOT know how to utilize the "Search" functions properly and therefore you are being served with infractions and some got banned. Here I will explain the best and a proper way how to overcome this problem.

There are two types of "Search" functions:

1. Use the button found on top bar of this forum.

2. Use the found when you want to crerate a thread.

How to use: button.

1. Click on the arrow on the "Search" button.

2. Check the box "Search Titles Only"

3. Type the name of the software you want to search minus the version number for applications and for movies just type the movie title minus the year and release group names.

4. Click on "Show Threads"

5. Press "Go"

A new window will open and it will show you all the threads bearing the name of the software with all version numbers or for movies, it will show you all the threads bearing the movie names, the year, and release group names. At the same time it will also show you games and music bearing the name you type. This method is very effective and it will show all the required result without fail.

How to use:

1. When you want to post a "New Thread", this window will pop-up.

2. Then you fill up the required fields ie the Title tag and the software names with version number and build.

3. On the far right you will see (most of the time never appear)

4. If it appears you will click on it. And because you typed in the version number, the search engine cannot find the requested thread name. It will show the following result.

5. This is because you included the version number (circled in red) in your search.

6. At this point you just delete the version number at the Keywords box and choose "Search Titles Only" at the box below it.

7. At the "Search Options" box, select (any prefix)

8. At the "Search In Forum" box, you 'mark' or click "Windows Programs" and 'tick' the box below it "Also search in child forums"

9. Then click "Search Now"

10 The "Search Result" will pop-up and showing you all threads having same name "Vista Cedecs Package" together with all the version numbers. And the one you are looking for is marked with "Red Arrow".

HOWEVER IF FAIL TO APPEAR, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU USE OPTION WHICH HAS 100% SUCCESS RATE.

GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY SEARCHING!

Well done Warload, I use Search quite often but it's good to see how I could be doing it a little better. Thanks.
