The ultimate URL shortening tool called Shrinkr is now available on the Mac. This tool is easy to use and ready to convert any long links you throw at it by using popular URL shortening services like Goo.gl, Bit.ly, Is.gd, X.co, and more. Shrinkr is compact and lives in the menu bar on your Mac and looks like a small anchor.

To use it, simply copy the URL you would like to shorten, then select the URL shortening service you wish to use. After a just a second, Shrinkr will automatically copy the shortened URL to your clipboard, ready for you to paste it into an email message, tweet, or chat.

Currently, Shrinkr for Mac lets you shorten URLs using 6 different services:
- Goo.gl
- Bit.ly
- Is.gd
- Cli.gs
- X.co
- TinyURL

In addition to using the menu bar buttons for shortening a URL, a dedicated Shrinkr application (by clicking “More...”) lets you type in (or Drag and Drop from a web browser) a link to be shortened. In addition, you can also access even more URL shorteners in this area.

Bit.ly account support is available with Shrinkr. Just put your Bit.ly account credentials in the Preferences and all links shortened with Bit.ly will automatically show up in your web account shortening history.

In addition to all of these great features, Shrinkr also includes Growl support, audio notifications, and the ability to have Shrinkr start up after logging into your computer.
