man, we have some problems here after possibly wasting about 50 Gigs of web traffic. Can you spare us from your BS, please?

Has anyone been able to get the whole DL yet?
Anyone has installed it yet, any issues?
Rapidshit has lowered it's daily take to 2.8 Gb!
So this is taking quite a while.
Even with a Premium acct, still taking awhile,
I may have to open another account just for this piece of magical SW.
Thanks to this great frriend of ours for taking his / her time to do this.

Yes, there is an issue, the big one: Installer refuse to install demanding to run some preflight script. I thought it happened just with me, but i am not the only one.
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. Since Ominsphere keeps its troubleshooting only for registered users, to go there and check is not an option. We are all surely thankfull to saa10245, and every one will be really happy having second archive from tutorials posted.But if installer doesn't work than all this 50+ gigs of downloaded material goes down to drain – you guess what our fillings are...

To abereut Please be patient you are not the only one to loose 50 gigs of downloading I know what all your feelings are..If you loose 50 gigs downloading I loose 50 gigs of 2 .5 weeks of UPLOADING.You know perfectly well which is worse..If it had been completely about Rapid points I wouldnt be here writing this to you all..And for the worst part people ended up downloading from torrents at 60% with out seeds leaving them no option but to buy this..It was not on rapidshare and most people were wanting it upoaded.

Now we have to go step by step
1)Which One of you have downloaded all of the six DVD'S.
2)Did this error occured in every one's system while installing (I doubt that completely)
3)You must download all the six dvd's before installing the first one ..Because some times the installer might want to verify and run from the remaing dvds.


First of all i assure you that DVD's are perfect for installation but what matters is that how the system responds to Installer or I think that means the installer didn't find what it was expecting..Regarding the script error it's for sure there's something wrong with the registry,permissions or verification or corrupt system files in HD(Hard Disk) not entirely..
(Google it to be sure)



PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING ISSUES THAT CAN OCCUR DURING INSTALLATION:

1)If you are getting a 'Preflight Script...' error when installing on Mac you most likely need to install the LIBRARY into a location other than the default location (the root of your system drive). You can choose to install the sample library in any location from the 'Custom Install' screen.

2)be sure to Repair Permissions & reboot..

3)Look for the software that may be trying to interfere with the installer of spectrasonics omnisphere or may be forcing the installer to act as an update..Alternative try installing in another drive..

4) Keep all the dvds in the same folder before running the installer.


5)This step has worked for many people 70 % mac users in many script errors

use Disk Utility to verify/Repair the HD, then Repair Permissions then reboot.

Use the Archive and Install feature...

Repair Permissions afterwards, reboot.

After that would be a complete Zeroing of the HD and a fresh Install.


Archive and Install

1) Insert the Mac OS X Install Disc and double-click the Install Mac OS X
icon.

2) Follow the onscreen instructions. In the pane where you select the
destination disk, select your current Mac OS X disk (in most cases, it will
be the only one available).

3) Click Options. If you want to save your existing files, users, and
network settings, select ³Archive and Install,² and then select ³Preserve
Users and Network Settings.² If you want to erase everything on your
computer and reinstall Mac OS X, select ³Erase and Install.² You can¹t
recover erased data.

4) Click Continue.

5) Click Customize to select which parts of Mac OS X you¹d like to install,
or click Install to perform a basic installation (recommended).

Once the install has finished, your system will be at whatever level the
disk you have is. So if your Install DVD/CD disk is 10.5.0, that's what
version of OS will be on your Mac. You will need to download the appropriate
Combo Updater from Apple's site to restore the system to a higher version.

you can reinstall with the save settings check box..


I appreciate all of your comments but I would recommend you to please at least google the problem to find where it lies before hurling it in the forums..If there's any other help I would surely provide it to my utmost knowledge Until then

From my rapidshare stats about 8 people downloaded all 6 DVDs (Seeing the maximum number of downloads from DVD 6 Last Part) where as I see only 2 comments of script errors from abereut and macmaniac25 ..It would be really helpful if someone else post their

the installer for Ma

the installer for mac on dvd1 doesn't work (the way it should be) so I had to install everything by hand, event the steam engine core library. I updated the plug the key gen worked, the library patcher seems empty. And when launched There seems something is missing. Will try again tonight. Does anyone has a method of his own? Thank you.
