With GraphicConverter you can open hundreds of graphic files & convert them to other formats.

GraphicConverter (GC) is able to open and import approximately 200 different image formats, regardless of the operating system or computer platform on which the file was created, and you have the option to save your pictures in approximately 80 different formats, including some cell phone compatible files.

The latest version offers many of the same editing options found in high-end programs like Photoshop and now makes working with web graphics easier than ever before. You can edit images to add hotlinks for web use and the new "Save For Web" dialog gives you a neat, centralized place to optimize web graphics. Another nice feature is the ability to convert groups of files in batch mode. It will also create catalogs from groups of images for web or print publishing. Additionally, GraphicConverter supports AppleScript so you can automate those extremely large, tedious or complicated tasks, including adding custom watermarks to your images.

If you just want to quickly browse through your graphic files it's also a great image browser which displays all of the pertinent data about your photos, including file format, resolution, and file size, etc. - or you can use the native slideshow function.
