2.0.4 is just fine with my provider. Mine never stall and I'm downloading the hell with it.
Perhaps it depends on your provider, as I really don't get that error, and mind that I'm using ssl... Anyway, thanks so much for sharing this! |

I've been running 2.0.4 and have panic.com and www.panic.com blocked in my hosts file. It has worked until today when it popped up with the 15 minute limit. Has anyone found what alternate web address it uses to verify? I do not like running little snitch to block it.

Im curious if you don't block the hosts prior to install, if it knows its not legit.
It ran fine for awhile, before popping up the quit or buy message. I tried to use the Little Snitch fix at this point to fix it, but it still quit after 15 minutes. That after even blocking *all* connections except my news server host. My last attempt was to use CleanApp to remove all traces of the program, as just deleting the app file was leaving other traces of it. After removing all this I had to completely setup my newsserver and re-queue all my goods. I currently have Unison *Allowing* my newsgroup server as first rule, and then block all servers as my second. I did not want to block all programs, I don't mind being able to poke around on their website looking at their stuff. So far I have been running for over an hour with no popup. Im just hoping that is because the hosts were blocked properly this time. It is however possible that it reset the timer in which it will start to nag me every 15 minutes since I did uninstall everything. Time will tell! If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to post them for people still having problems
