What do you mean by "install iDefrag"? Do you mean downloading the installation file from this forum and copying it into the Snow Leo Pro 911 image? Or do you mean running the iDefrag program already built in into Snow Leo Pro 911?

Never mind my last post. I figured it out, and it worked!! I decided to expand on Miho's beautiful post, because I got confused with it. However, do not fear; his procedure works!! I am using his procedure in my post, but I hope mine is clear enough to appear in a "For Dummies" book.
  1. DownloadSnow Leo Pro 911

Any version will do (I used 1.5, although 1.3 also works).
Snow Leo Pro 911 1.3 Link:
    http://www.uloz.to/10016101/snow-leo-911-pro-1-3-dmg
  2. Set date your computer's date to July 1, 2010
  3. Mount the image into a USB
In Disk Utility click on your USB drive, then click on restore, drag the Snow Leo Pro 911 image into "Source", and the USB into "Destination."
  4. Boot into Snow Leo Pro 911
With the USB connected to you computer, restart your Mac pressing the "Alt Option" key to boot on Snow Leo Pro 911.
  5. Disconnect from the internet.
Although in my specific case Snow Leo had airport off when I booted, it is always good to double check.
  6. Open iDefrag and try to register.
After clicking "next" a couple of times, you should get to a screen where you put your name and your company's name. If you get there,-voila-you did it. If not, try again following the steps EXACTLY as the post describes them.

If you got to the 'good' screen, iDefrag created a "License Key" file. This file is in Snow Leo Pro, but the same file works on your computer (normal Snow Leopard)

  7. Copy the license file key.
It is located at SnowLeo911Pro/Private/VAR/Root/Library/Application Support/iDefrag. I simply dragged it into my Mac's hard drive, but use whatever method you like.
  8. Instal iDefrag in your computer with the new license file!
  9. Remember to block iDefrag's connections to the internet and to never update. Also, remember to put your date back to normal.
  10. Enjoy.

Why can't someone simply upload a license file key?
License file keys contain information about the computer it was created in. Coriolis is a very strict company when it gets to piracy, and responds fiercely to situations such as the publication of a license file key. If someone uploads a license file key, consider this person dead, along with everyone that downloaded and used without firewall protection the key.
Remember to buy the software if you like it and to promote future development.

Thanks, miho.

Have found the way we can defrag :o)

short info: use iDefrag 1.7.3 or here install 1.7.3 on you machine, than boot to Leo 911 and install 1.7.3 on Leo and defrag :o)

works with Lion too. I have MacBook Air 11'' 128 SSD Lion 10.7.3

0. Download iDefrag 1.7.3, install and register on your machine (just to see the fragmentation is needed)

1. Download Leo 911 1.3 or here or 1.5

2. use Disk utility to mount the image into a USB (I used 8 GB USB key)
3. Turn your mac off
4. Hold alt key to boot from Leo 911
5. Find 1.7.3 iDefrag on your HDD and copy to Leo 911 desktop, run and instal (overwrite the present one with 1.7.3)
6. Dont forget to eject iDefrag 1.7.3
7. you can defrag your volume now

you can check my screenshots

enjoy

Point is to defragment your volume not to have the latest software :o)

Remember to buy the software if you like it
