Hey all,

I've been a RS premium subscriber for many years now, and needless to say, I was VERY disappointed when they got bombed by that lawsuit and have now really started cracking down on "illegal" content.

My subscription is going to be coming up for renewal soon, and I really am thinking of switching to another service, but I'm not sure which one I should choose. There seems to be many that people are using, but a consensus among most of us here would really be good for everyone here!

So, I'd love to hear everyone's input on this matter, and I'm sure other people here would find this useful as well!

Hotfile
etc

Rapidshare & Megaupload is good for free downloaders but suck for free uploaders...MU upload speed is limited at 800 kb/s and you dont have FTP..the others are for make couple bucks who uploads Fileserve Filesonic

Now a days I prefer www.mediafire.com
Mostly for non-premium members it supports resumable links, parallel download and moreover dont have to wait.
So dont need a premium membership at all.

I like megaupload even though not a premium member

I'm happy with filesonic, megaupload and mediafire.

mediafire is awesome, like mentioned before, no need to have a premium membership, and its fast....that's my choice. Wupload blows.....slow as can be for free users

still, it all depends on the types of sites you go to. people upload to different hosts depending on the popularity of a particular host on a given site/forum.

Examples (in my opinion):

mechodownload (and similar): fileshare, filesonic, rapidshare, wupload
adult sites: oron, depositfiles, wupload, hotfile
mobile sites: mediafire, megaupload, filedude
