Have you ever wondered which tool was the best for defragmentation, well I do!
That's why I've conducted this little experiment with my hard disk defragmenting it each time with a different defragmentation tool! I have used : Diskeeper 2008 , O&O Defrag 10 , TuneUp Utilities 2008 and Piriform Defraggler 1.01beta . 1) Diskeeper 2008 : Positive: Fast, useful, friendly inteface. Negative : doesn't give to the user the 100% control of it. 2) O&O Defrag 10 : Positive : Very fast and very friendly. Negative : Looking at Diskeeper it has Fewer characteristics. 3)TuneUP Utilities 2008 : Positive : For a weak computer it has the basic defragmentation model but useful. Negative : Not fast , ther's no control of the defragmentation options. 4)Piriform Defraggler 1.01beta : Positive : Very light , very fast , and of course it's FREE! ![]() Negative : Doesn't defrag system files. My conclusion is that here there are two winners : O&O Defrag 10 and Piriform Defraggler 10. Using them together frequently will increase the computer performance without waiting an hour every time you defrag. |

I was using Raxco Perfect Disk until the thing was mad due to firewall issues. TuneUp utilities defrag is what I am using now. Windows default defrag is not my choice.

Diskeeper 2008. This program is so much faster and the GUI is much more attractive than the one Windows already have.
the link in your sig was dead, so it was removed..

Take a look at Ashampoo Magical Defrag 2 ... ITS very light on resource, plus it sits in the task bar and defrags when needed .. never defrag again .... leave it to it .... cool ....
