Share whats on your mind...How can we improve this website and what other interesting topic would you like to see on our board? What are we doing well? What can we do better? | 11-29-2008, 05:52 PM | #1 | | Donator Join Date: Jun 2008 Last Online: Yesterday 03:48 PM Location: Err.... Wales, I think. Posts: 213 | Serious site problems? Hi all
Is anyone else having problems with the MechoDownload site?
MechoDownload can take a while to download and then it's layout appears to have problems. When I post messages none of the formatting links are available. MD Main Page MD - Post New Thread MD - Listing Page Showing Some Layout Problems
It is loading extremely slowly and MechoPortal sometimes doesn't load at all with a network timeout error. MP - Error
I have played around with my browser settings in case that is the problem but it makes no difference.
Just wondering if I'm alone with these problems.
Regards

Anyway, I'm also experiencing the same problems. Yesterday (Nov 28) the site was inaccessible, and today the site definitely looks and feels different. As I said in my thread, i'm not complaining about it because i know the good guys in charge of the site put a lot of effort into improving the site, but i would like to know what's going on. So no, you're not alone with these problems. | | | | | 11-29-2008, 07:00 PM | #3 | | Donator Join Date: Jun 2008 Last Online: Yesterday 03:48 PM Location: Err.... Wales, I think. Posts: 213 | Hi Max
I'm with you in that my post wasn't a complaint, far from it. The guys and gals here do a fantastic job.
I was just wondering if it was just me that had the problem and my post was a highlight of just that. It's "good" to see that it's a site problem and not my computer having a turn.
Warm regards

Mecho is working hard as he can to fix the sites. There were some much needed upgrades and changes that he needed to implement, and once thse are installed he then has o go set up all thesettings like before.
Its like installing XP, then having to install Win Installer 3.1 and Net Framework 2 so that you can install SP2. And only then can you install SP3.
And do not worry, it will come back to normal soon.
(I do not want to see any MacFanboys trolling this. I could have just as well mentioned that Apple sells the updates instead of giving the away for free.) |

Thanks for the SP on what's going on. As long as we know, we can put up with the situation.

Thanks for your comments.
I realise that those in charge of these things are probably aware of the situation and are working their collective fingers to the bone to sort things out.
I am more than happy to wait as long as it takes as I know that many things are out of their control and that, they too, must wait for others to do something before they can move forward.

that does nothing.. whoever is the admin of this forum doesnt know how to properly install skins.. Sorry, but I've had this problem on my forum, and had it fixed within minutes.. Not sure why he cant figure it out but the forums look awful, and it actually makes it quite hard to navigate. Going to lose a lot of visitors with problems like this so I suggest fixing it asap. | | | | | 11-30-2008, 11:07 AM | #10 | | Donator Join Date: Jun 2008 Last Online: Yesterday 03:48 PM Location: Err.... Did as you suggested but as Kronix420 say it has made no difference.
Thanks for the help though.
