Can't we also mark threads in the Help And Support forum resolved (just wondering)? Please post all comments...

nice idea my friend..it's difficult for the n00bs to spot the difference b/w Help & support & Request forum...by mistake they may place requests in H&S thinking it as Request forum..

coz u come here needing something...u have less than 10 posts...and u r not allowed to make requests in Request forum....so immediatly feel like placing a request in H& S ..things will be confusing...when noobs are considered

Well, i hate to disappoint you, but i don't think that mod could work on Help and Support...

Although, i do understand and appreciate your need to help and improve the forum, still i believe such an idea will only create a problem..

How can one tell when someone has been helped?
People always need more info and may come back for clarificaction.

Nevertheless, a mix up may also be created with resolved and pending requests..

But once again, it is always welcomed to have new suggestions

Well the funny thing is a agree and disagree with both bulldeespana and phillia to answer "How can one tell when someone has been helped?" That is up to the member that started the thread he or she can post "fix" or "resolved" and also create a report letting MODS and users know that problem was resolved that way when a member is looking for a fix, they will know it works because a member has posted "fix" or "resolved" and in a report ( so the MODS can mark "resolved" it and possible close the thread ),yes sometimes there is more then one fix for a problem but if the original poster had it resolved already, how will we know if the newer suggestion works? It's already fix right . I guess it up to the member that started the thread to let us know if it works by a simple post (fix" or "resolved"),thats easy...,duh.

Yes bulldeespana it can get difficult at time as the mechodownload staff knows. In the H&S files is usually need to fix something so sometime you wonder if the post should of been in file request.

Maybe we need clearer rules in the H&S?

Maybe we can use some of rules from the Request forum ?

I think adding the resolved prefix is a nice idea & can be very helpful to prevent spam
