Moderator's (Thread Tools) Merge Threads

hi,

For Mods and Admin,

... in the Thread Tools / Merge Threads / After the URL is added / ... the default redirect is set to "Leave Permanent Redirect"...

... Is it posible to set the default to "Leave No Redirect"... ???

Since most of us Mods / Admin use "No Redirects" anyway...
... why not have the default set to the norm?

yeah, i hate that too, but i just click the leave no redirect.

I might be easier to set it to no redirect.

It is a temporary link which can be used later to get back the post , if the mod has done any wrong . The post can be got again

I prefer you all use No redirect if U are merging or moving threads from one forum to another
But if U want to delete any Post , I say you stay as it is or set a timer like 1 week
as if U click on NO Redirect the post is Gone in the Stroke of Wind

we don't delete stuff, we bin it or soft delete it, so it's not gone forever..

best redirect time is 1 day and if you think it is not require AT ALL u need to change it to "Leave No Redirect" .

I agree too...but thanks Mecho for clearing it up..I think we should have options out there just in case
