need help with burning movie

i burned a mp4 type movie onto a DVD-R cd which is compatible with my DVD player. but its not working. wut shud i do or how shud i burn it so that it works on my DVD player thats compatible with a DVD-R cd? by the way, i use Nero Ultra Enhanced 7. Thanx in advance for ur help guys!!

I think you may have burned it as a data dvd instead of a video dvd. To make a video dvd, use nero vision and follow the steps. Nero vision is located in the photo and video category of the nero start menu.

does your dvd player play divx?
if it does then burn it as data and it should work..
if it doesn't then you'll have to convert it into dvd format..

I agree with the above..but ur problem is that ur player cannot play the data files directly. u have to make a DVD movie or VCD as u like. then only it will run in ur DVD player. Further u can make these through Nero Burning ROM and then chosing the option DVD-DVD Video. But before that u need to convert ur video files into *.VOB format (required for DVD video making) that u can make through Nero vision or u can use some software to convert ur video files into DVD format like...McFunSoft Video Convert Master 8.0.1.18

Hope the above will solve ur problem...
