How to Burn .avi as DVD ?

Dont create Data DVD burn either Video DVD or Super Video DVD.

Do you have NERO ? If yes it is the better way to burn many formats toburn into vcd,svcd,mini DVD & DVD discs to be played on vcd/ dvd players. The wizard will walk you through the process

I use "convert x to dvd" to convert and then burn to dvd ..works every time for me..

once converted to .vob then use nero burning rom to burn the dvd files

WHOOPS! I just realized that you're probably converting on a PC (not a Mac). If so, sorry but I don't think the apps below are available for PC.

I highly recommend downloading and using VisualHUB, which has a variety of uses, including converting most video formats into DVD-compatible formats. I've used it multiple times and it works great.

When I use it, I follow the following steps...

1. Install VisualHUB and register it.
2. Launch VisualHUB and select the DVD tab.
3. Drag your .avi file into the VisualHUB conversion window.
4. Select the Start button.

VisualHUB will convert the file into a .iso disk image. From here, I just...

1. Open the disk image.
2. Copy the VIDEO_TS folder to your hard drive.
3. Launch Toast Titanium.
4. Select the Video section in Toast.
5. Select the VIDEO_TS folders section in Toast.
6. Drag your VIDEO_TS folder into the Toast conversion window.
7. Select the big red (burn) button.
