| If the game requires being run from the CD then you have two options.
1 ~ As previously suggested, burn the image (bin/cue file) to CD. This is always a good idea as it gives you a back-up of your game.
Or.
2 ~ This image can be mounted in a virtual player. (No hardware optical drive required) The tools reffered to above "Alcohol 120% or DAEMON tools" both give you the opportunity to create virtual drives.
Personally I like the Daemon Tool. Once it is installed and running it's icon will appear in the Tool Bar, down near the clock. You Right click the icon and a lift up menu appears. Under "Options" select the number of virtual drives you wish to run. (Up to 4). Then from the same menu, go to the top of the list and rest your cursor over this line, when the menu iteam expands sideways, slide your cursor over the new choice and it will present you with the option to mount an image. Click on this and navagate to the folder your ISO/Bin-cue file is in. Click the file and it's running, just as if you had a CD in your player. This tool also provides emulation of four different types of copy protection if needed. Hope this long winded version is of some help to you. Good luck. |
