processor speed

my comp has AMD turion 64x2 mobile technology processor with 2 cores having a combined freq of 1.6Ghz but when i play games the games detect only one core with a freq of803Mhz and show error plz help

first check out whether both the cores are working by entering into the CMOS setup if yes then check for the requirement of the game,if ur processor is working for other games or not please check

What operating system are you on,I have xp and vista,I have had only one game to check the split cpu's,it was Halo 2 on windows vista,have you installed any amd optimizers,that also can cause some programs to see the one cpu as two,I have a amd 2 motherboard with a amd dual core cpu,again windows vista was the only time I had this to happen..good luck...
