How do you split archive files? What soft do I use... etc...

Just simply use winrar.

To access easily, right click on the file you want to compress and split, choose add to archive, then under General Tab, on the lower left part of the window, on "split to volumes, bytes", type there a size (2m for example for 2mb), this is the size that your file is gonna be divided to.

If you have a 10 mb file and you typed there 2m, then you have 5 parts. if you typed there 3m, then you should have four parts.
