No sound from laptop

Hello everyone, I have a dell latitude 110L but suddenly, the sound stopped. i'v checked the driver(Device Manager) and found "No drivers are installed for this device. " under SYSTEM SPEAKER which is under SYSTEM DEVICES i tried updating but im told that im using the best driver? When i try to check driver details i see "no driver files are required or hqve been loaded for this device" also, i get the same messages for the following:
Direct memory Access controller
Intel 8201FB/FBM SMBus Controller-266A
Numeric Data Processor
Programmable Interrupt Controller
System Speaker
System Timer.

restart your PC, and if that doesn't work, roll back the drivers and reattempt to update them.

I tried restarting the system but the problem is still there. The rollback button for the driver cannot be clicked(probably because there is no driver installed) so it cannot roll back. Also, i checked the whole sound properties and there is nothing muted i also increased every volume to the max still, no sound.

Have u installed the correct driver? wats ur operating system? XP or VISTA? whats the manufacturer of ur sound hardware? check all these n try again, if you don't know the make etc.., try belarc advisor. its freeware, google for it, it will tell u every characteristic of ur pc!

have you try to download the original driver fron Dell? they offer most of the drivers for all pc's and laptops and when you download then files they are on (.exe) which automatically install the driver to your unit.

juyst google your soundcard and add drivers

Have you tried removing them and installing it back?
