Make an exe file bootable

Hi everyone,
Anyone know how to make a exe file I got into a cd so I can boot up with it?

I downloaded

Windows XP Service Pack 3 Build 3244 RC1 


and dont know what to do with it since it is a exe.
I need to burn it and install it on freshly formatted hard drive?

Please help!

i would be extremely cautious about booting this file, operating systems don't usually come in exe file format, could be sinister

I wont do anything except delete it.

Some of the updates are zipped files with an exe front end to unpack it for you.. try renaming the package to .zip and then open with winzip..
If this works you can the extract and burn to a disk...but it will not be bootable unless you use ultra iso (etc) to extract the bootable files from a boot disk and add them to your discs bootable area.

or use the software 'universal extractor' to see what inside the file and scan the folder
