Site Layout

Hi guys!

I'm sure there is a reason why sometimes I see the mechodownload site like this:

And at other times I see this;

Both are quite okay but the first layout shows me red x's. This isn't a real problem, it's just a little bit annoying.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I most probably have to fiddle with configurations, but i don't know where because I already added the site to the safe zone, added cookies too.

could be just a problem you get while using internet explorer try and use mozilla firefox 2.0+ or the mechodownload browser

Hi mate! thats not the problem! the problem is that , the first one is:

the first one is mechodownloads First page , and the other is the link to forum , and categories.. its not your problems..

Wow! thnx a lot! I knew there was a logical reason.

Now I'll have to figure out why one is with x's and one isn't.

well i would suggest using firefox still anyway it does say somewhere this site is best viewed with firefox. To be quite honest with you it is a much better browser by far i swear by it i only use internet explorer when i view live sport streams as firefox for some reason don't like to play them. Give firefox a try and let me know what happens that should solve you're x problem if not right click on the x and click show picture

also , listen here ,this is a not a problem! this is something he didnt understand.. he didnt know differents between Forum page and main page of site.. its normally because before our index moved directly to forum , but now we have been bigger and better design so we have also changed our main page and its normally , many users dont see differents , like me when i surfed to mechodownload.com the first time after mecho edited it! and firefox or IE or Opera doesnt do anything.. of course firefox is much better i use firefox and i suggus it, its much faster , better and more secure many times... etc. but Browser have nothing to do here now.... tnx for this thread and all the other replies... we do our best to fix your problems , if you have more problems or questions just ask us ! we are here to help all members in this forum.

I decided to go for it and and I downloaded Firefox and no red x's!!!!

Being that it's only a matter of habit, I'm sure I'll get into it.
Furthermore, My last os was in my native language and many things were really yucky. I recently installed an English os and sure enough, it made a huge difference.
And with all the add-ons in ff, I'm in for a treat!

And I already see a difference with ff. Things seem to flow smoothly.

The truth is at first i felt dumb to come up with a question like that but now i know that here there is no such thing as 'dumb'.

-Just wanted to mention that i am very pleased i changed to firefox.

yeah but if you read then you will se he was also talking about re x's these happen when your browser is unable to load the picture in question, i'm not disputing that he may have got mixed up with the index and forum page but i was helping him with the red x problem and firefox seemed to have fixed this problem as he said in the post above so please dont think i am tring to say you are wrong because you was right with the index and forum part i never tried to help him with that as you did already i was telling him firefox would more than likely solve the red x's.

I'm glad you are enjoying firefox and like arash_jooje you will see a huge difference in performance and quailty. There is no such thing as a dumb question so never be afraid to ask somebody here will always help i'm sure i always like to help out when and where i can

and if i don't know i will be more than happy to find out

I'm having a field trip with all the tweaking,add ons,scripts,etc'.
Well, as long as i got rid of those x's...... and other annoying pests that come with ie7
