Firefox starting a bit slow

Hi guys!

I'm new to Firefox and enjoying every minute.
All is great except that when I open the browser, it starts kinda slow.
Any suggestions as to how i can speed things up a bit?

Firefox is the best browser, it has less problems than all the others
How many pages r loading up when it turns on??

Hi LaZZ!!

The truth is i made it a blank page.
But i noticed that even if i made a homepage, it's slow.
I even opened the browser in safe mode but still slow.
Everything else works just fine so this is just another one one my small inconveniences.

Yep, i notice a huge difference from ie7.
Makes me think, why did i ever stay there

And all those updates! geez.............

Boy, the fun never ends...............

I tried out for speed and the difference is more than 40 seconds. It may not be much but it makes a big difference.

i had this problem at first but eventually it just started to speed up.. also blank page is not always the fastest way to load it up i find i load the fastest with

Funny, when i try to get into google/com i get redirected to google/il.

Oh well, I think 18 seconds is the best it can get. (isn't it?!?!?)

I know what you mean...

When i go for google.com it just redirects me to google.gr

This has to do with the country you live...

I have found that only IE does that...

I don't have the same problem with Firefox or Opera...

well is it firefox loading up or the page loading that is slow if it's the actual firefox then i would recommend a good defrag of your hard-drive and a disk clean up just to get your computer back to what should be a decent speed as it can get very cluttered and unorganized when files are installed then un-installed normally a defrag will slove that problem and if it does just keep doing it once a week or so it wont take as long as the first time you do it. If it's the page that is slow loading then hmmm not too sure what could fix that besides clearing all of your cookies and temp files on both firefox and I.E
