Help with iPod

Hey guys,
I'm having a few problems with my iPod video...
First of all, every time I connect my iPod to my computer, my iTunes doesn't start up automatically. I have to open my iTunes manually...
Second of all, every time I try to put new songs into my iPod, iTunes says "Sync is complete", but the songs are not in my iPod...usually, while it is syncing, my iPod says "Do not disconnect", but when I try to sync it now, it does not say that...
Last of all, I cannot update my iPod to a newer version because my iTunes cannot find my iPod, even though it shows that it is connected...
Last of all, when I connect my iPod, the folder opens..then =when I open iTunes manually, the ipod disconnects after 2 seconds...the removable disc is not in My computer...but it is still connected when I clicked on "Safely remove hardware

Can anyone help?
I would really appreciate if you guys can respond quickly...

Not 100% sure if this will work, but you might want to try reseting your iPod. It works with mine, but its a 4th generation. There's a ton of forums out there for help with iPod problems and tips for moding them. For my end all fix, I just take my iPod apart. Once everything is disconnected and put back together, it seems to work just fine....for a while at least. Good luck with that!
