PC keeps restarting

Hi peeps

Im having an issue where my PC keeps restarting when i play games like Crysis and COD4 in the first couple of minutes.

Its a brand new PC

Here are my specs:

CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz
MB - Gigabyte X38-DS4
RAM - Corsair Xms2 4GB DDR2 800MHZ
Graphics - ASUS ATI HD3870 x2 1GB Dual GPU
OS - Vista Ultimate 64bit
PSU - 860W Tri-Fan Power

Any ideas guys please???

the problem might be because the game is not compatible.

Yeah, did you check the requriements?

When you run games, they send data to your hardware, and if your hardware dosen't recognize that langauge, it crashes.

Also if you are trying to use hacks/bypasses, check to make sure that all the settings are right, because if they arent, your computer will keep restarting.

Also, Try this before doing anything.

Right click on your game icon and select properties.

Head over to compatability tab, and select "Run this program in compata...." and pull down the arrow and select Windows XP SP2.

That should make it work, if that dosen't then that means that game won't work.

Thanks for the support guys, turns out it was the PSU, replaced that and even upgradred to 1000w and all is good now.

Glad to here you fixed your problem.

Just to add more help... there are very important Performace Tweaks you can apply to Vista, to help you have the best Vista Experience. When I ran Vista... these tweaks helped alot.

Also... from what I've read... Video card drivers are the main culprit for Vista crashes... outside Hardware issues. Unfortunately, until they get newer and better drivers we have to endure this crap!

My Advice would be to always keep your Video drivers updated.
... also keep your Motherboard BIOS updated. Gibabyte has a great OS BIOS update tool on the motherboard driver CD. Use it. You'll thank me later.

or better yet- downgrade to XP and you won;t have those problems.....

I dont see how downgrading to XP will resolve a faulty PSU ????
