I can't see any of my hidden files....plz help me out

I can't see any of my hidden files for quite a few days.I know its a virus problem.Therefore I formated c drive and installed xp again.I checked all the local drives with kaspersky but couldn't solve this problem.Still I can't see any hidden files.Moreover after having checked with KAV "show all files" option is completely deleted and no more seen.

How do I solve this problem and see all the hidden files..????Do u have any advice to me...

open windows explorer..
then go to tools/folder options and then click on "show hidden files and folders"

Your computer is infected by virus and I can solve your problem, first tell me the answers of few questions.

1. Can you open your dirve thourgh my computer or it is open in seprate window?
2. Is you folder option is visible or it is vanish from view option.

Read this carefully.

Caution
first and most important thing, Do not try to open drive thourgh my computer till end of this tutorial. If you want to open, then right click on strat menu and select explorer.

If you folder option is not visible

Go to Run –>gpedit.msc
User Configuration –> Administrative Templates –> Windows Components –> Windows Explorer
Enable and then Disable “Removes Folder Options menu from Tools menu”
Close all windows explorer windows and then open again.. most probably your folder options is back

Show all hidden files

First press Alt+Ctrl+Del and then in process TAB find Explorer.exe, now right click on it and end task, all thing vanish don't worry (this tutorial page still visble if it is not then press Alt + Tab and select)

Now goto file in windwos task manager and select new task (1st option).

In run Type regedit

Go to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

In the right hand area, double click hidden and change the value to 1.

then

Find the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\
Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL
Look at the “CheckedValue” key… This should be a DWORD key. If it isn’t, delete the key.
Create a new key called “CheckedValue” as a DWORD (hexadecimal) with a value of 1.
The “Show hidden files & folders” check box should now work normally.

then

goto windwos task manager and select new task (1st option) and type explorer.exe

now check Show hidden files & folders should work, but wait don't open it through my computer open it through explorer by right click on start up menu and follow final step.

Now you are stand in folder option by doing above steps.
1. click on view tab
2. click on " Show hidden files and folders"
3. remove tick from "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)"
4. then message occure select "yes" then click ok.

now goto each drive (through explorer not my computer), you will see all hidden files, except these files delete all hidden files (Remember I am talking about hidden files)
donot remove these files
_Backup
FOUND.000
Recycled
System Volume Information


Remove these files if they are exists
Autorun.inf
Ravmon.exe
New Folder.exe
svchost.exe
Heap41a

After having followed your instructions, now I can see all of my hidden files and folders.Thanks again...hope I'll get more solutions from u in future.
