Please Guys Help me Please

See I have a major problem. I bought this anti virus Kaspersky 2009 online and I had previously on my computer AVG 8 but I did uninstall it and restart my computer before the installation of Kaspersky and now Kaspersky Installation says that I need to unnistall AVG which I have already did so it's so frustrating I paid like 60 bucks for this please please help me.

Hind-Sight is always 20/20.

You must unistall AVG8 and restart before installing Kas. You said that yourself.
You went too far. Do a System Restore back before you installed KAS, and then Uninstall AVG8 like you're supposed to properly with a restart. After that... Search your system for AVG. Any leftover folders with AVG on them you have to manually delete. Only after All-is-well do you install KAS.

The system restore in my computer doesn't work but I did restart the computer after I removed AVG 8

Help Me please guys I really need to get it working.
I install Kaspersky 2009 well I did buy it for 60 bucks

and well it didn't install saying that avg 8 is still one when is not.

So now I need to give my computer a system restore but it doesn't work just open in a big white page and doesn't do anything. What my Luck

plz don't start another thread for the same problem.

As for the help. I'm not sure. Your System Restore didn't work for 1 of 2 reasons. 1) it's turned off, therefore no restore points... 2) Your Windows has errors and/or Virues keeping you from Restoring.

Only thing left to do at this point is Re-Format. I know that's an ugly word... but that's all I've got.

maybe someone has a better suggestion. Keep checking this thread.

Another idea is to contact Kaspersky. I doubt this is the first time this problem has ever happened, and they would be the best suited to help you. Since you did buy the software,they should be more than willing to help you use it, or they should refund you the money

I would use a registry cleaner to take out the avg leftover files ,also use windows explorer to check for leftover folders and files named avg ,then reboot and you should be able to install kaspersky then..
I use regcure myself..
