Canon Printer Problem!

Good day 2 everyone!

I am having a big problem with my Canon Printer Pixma MP145, the error message is saying "THE INK ABSORBER IS FULL". Is there any chance that I can fix this problem by myself?

Please help! If you have any information or solution to this problem.

I am in the southern part of the Philippines, and there is no Canon establishment here in our place and it's too far from my location. I'm gonna need a lot of cash to send this to Manila (the main city of our country).

I hope you can share your time.

i reset my ip2000 more than a year ago and it is still running without problem
but there is always the possibility that the ink will over flow when the sponge is full. just thought id warn ya


waste ink counter reset:
Canon MP160 , MP145
1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding
the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a
service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)
4) When the on/off lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the
function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in
orange and green, starting with orange.)

note: press 4 times for waste ink counter reset.
