Vista 64 bit and x86
I am using Windws Vista. When I right-click on my computer and then properties, it shows that I am using 64-bit. But when I open C: drive, it shows me two folders of program Files named:
1)Program Files 2)Program Files (x86) When I install something, the default location comes in Program Files (x86). This is my new PC about which I am talking and the windows was already installed. Please let me know that am I using 64bit or 86-bit. Thanks in advance |

Only way you can see if your using 64 bit or x86, is load a program that is 64 bit version and see if it works or no?? if not you must be using the x86 version!!

You are using Vista x64. 32bit version of Vista & 7 do not have a Program Files (x86) folder as all programs on this version will be 32bit (or x86)
x64 = 64 bit x86 = 32 bit
Always happy to be of assistance.... just ask! Over 500gb's of files, mostly appz & music, ebooks, PDF manuals etc. Just for you :D
