window suddenly shut down
I was using my PC half way suddenly shut down, when i restart ,can see start up screen then shut down again, i try to reinstall window XP ,unfortunally system automatically shut down .
Can anyone help how to fix it? |

See if you can F8 at start up to get into Safe Mode. If you can then it's a config problem. If not and it still does a quick shutdown even in safe mode then it could be a hardware problem. Use any type of boot disk, I like Hiren's. The key is boot into a partition manager and check the HDD for errors. If its hardware based it will shut down soon. If no shutdown reformat C Drive and try to do clean OS install. If it shutdowns then look at HDD, P/S, memory, motherboard. We had a cluster of 5 quick shutdowns last summer and it turned out to be P/S. Good luck.
