phantom911, I'm not clear about the type of RS account you're describing, so I don't want to give you the wrong advice on that issue.
Regarding WinRAR; you're using the wrong conversion factors. There are two industry standards that define the term "Kilo", and this creates a lot of confusion. The IEEE standard is 1000KB = 1MB. This standard generally applies to hard drive capacities and electronic data transfer rates (bandwidth): ![]() The standard for data is 1024KB = 1MB, and is the standard you need to use with WinRAR. These are the data factors for a 1MB file: ![]() These are the data factors for a 25MB file: ![]() These are the data factors for a 100MB file: ![]() Regards... phantom911, WinZIP and WinRAR both use bytes for file sizes. So when you split a large file you need to convert to bytes. If you look at the 3rd chart you'll see that 25 MB = 26214400 bytes.
It'll do you good to learn this stuff and the best way is to just play with until you get it. If you're not making mistakes, you're not learning anything! Remember to use "kilo" = 1024. Here's a link to the page with the bit calculator: http://www.matisse.net/bitcalc/?input_amount=1&input_units=megabytes¬ation=legacy Now to your RS question. I'm assuming you've already created your folder, and given it a name. If you scroll to the bottom of your RS account page the button in "Step 2" looks like this: ![]() That means you need to scroll back to the top of the page and left-click once on your folders ID number (all you'll see is the blinking cursor that looks like a capital "I"): ![]() Now scroll back to the bottom of the page again and look at the "Step 2" button. It should say "Copy to XXXXXX" (whatever your folder ID is). Now go check mark the file/s you want to put in your folder. When they're checked, then click the "Step 2" button. ![]() You'll see this little dialog next: ![]() Scroll back to the top of the page, click the "Admin login" button, and it'll open right into your folder with your newly copied file/s.
