hey guys since my laptop has broken . i need to purchase a new laptop and i found a very good spec laptop for just £400 or i think its around $800. i think im allowed to show the link considering its pcworld lol. if not sorry.

i would very much appreciate your opinions. I could get a better make like sony but they cost more and the specs are worse. if you do know a better place to get good prices on laptops please state it . thanks for your time.

i do NOT know about their CURRENT computers. i HATED their products in the late Pentium 1 / early Pentium 2 days.

I already have an ACER aspire & i have never got any probs with it, it is a good make with goods specs

It depends on what you want to do with your notebook.
Do the specs fulfill your needs?
If so , buy it. £400 isnt that expensive. (compared to here)

My dad has 2 acer laptops.. i HATE them.. but that is because i cant stand how windows works...

Thier performance is good, but i found they start to die rather rapidly...just save another 200 and buy a mac... (IMNOTAFANBOY) they just work better.

Plus Acer bundle all this crap into the OS where theres like this toolbar thing that just P****S me off lol.

i got my third acer (windows) its good quality, yeah windows sucks but also on other notebooks or pcs

i also got a mac book pro for work, GREAT!!! like nearly all things from apple. mac os 10 leopard is sooo much better than windows and for my work (designing folder,books,...etc) mac+adobe products are essential

I have an Acer aspire Since 2006, and i love acer.

Well as I said, I would definately check the Apple Store... They also do Discounts to students (SO if you are a student or know one with valid student ID.. bring them along) You can get a (Virtually) Garunteed good laptop for around £550..

But check Curries, PC World, and those free magazines you get in the mail, and PC mags, They hold some good bargains.

Try Ebay, Or Trade-It.. You could get what someone thinks is dead and fix it up a bit?
