In fact, you can use an ipod to computer transfer program to help. And i think you should learn some software reviews.
This Software reviews is about alternative software applications (besides iTunes) to manage iPod/iPhone/iPad contents.
It includes the transferring of music, photos, videos, SMS, Contact ect. between iPod/iPhone/iPad and computer(PC or Mac).
Here is an aticle " How to transfer and backup contacts from iPhone to PC"

You have to put an Outlook as a default program on your pc to make your iPhone recognized by it. At first , follow the instructions in the error message :Open Microsoft Outlook. Go to Tools > Options,
then in the "Other" tab. Check the box next to " Make Outlook the default program for mail , contacts and calendar. Confirm by clicking OK.
Besides i share you a article about how to transfer contacts/photo from iPhone to computer, which can help you backup all iPhone contacts and contact photos from iPhone to your computer and keep them safe on the computer. Hopefully this works for all of you like it just worked for me!
