PANDANGGO has three stories with parallel themes converging in once event, the Kasilonawan in Obando.

The second is about a wife whose wish to conceive a baby boy to make her husband happy brings her to the festival, but fate has a different plan of bringing the child into her life.

Third and lastly, a modern woman who, despise her medical condition that might render her childless for the rest of her life, finds connection with an ancient lore about fertility.

Based on the true-to-life story of Fatima Buen, the film tells the story of a convicted woman felon who falls prey to the perverse corruption of the big city. The film gives us a glimpse of what is inside Fatima Buen as she tries to recover from the tumultous path brought about by her sorry past.

Portrayed by Kris Aquino, the popular and ever-controversial daughter of former Philippine President Corazon Aquino, Fatima Buens life is plagued by a never-ending cycle of love and revenge. She is courted by the lesbian Batman,a nd is given a difficult time by the jail warden. Her luck with men isnt all that cheerful either. Though Baron falls madly in love with her, she is tormented by Kintanar, the corrupt policeman. Will she be able to escape her wretched fate? Or are her misery and desperation enough to justify one of the most controversial murders of her time?

The Fatima Buen Story is one of the most challenging roles in Kris Aquinos career. Supported by a cast of veteran actors like Janice de Belen (as Batman), Perla Bautista (Fatmas mother), Gina Pereno (the warden), John regala (Baron) and Zoren Legaspi (Kintanar), many were pleasantly surprised that she was able to carry out a credible performance in this intruiging film.
