Review:
The prequel to the popular character, Laughing Gor (Michael Tse) in the highly rated TVB drama series Emergency Unit. This movie tells the story of Laughing and before he join the police force has a dark background as member of a tried under Chou (Anthony Wong). Chou was the leader of the triad and persuaded Laughing to join the police force as an undercover for the triad to spy on police activities. While in the police academy, Laughing excel but not well enough to be confirm as a police officer. Instead he was recruited to be an undercover agent to spy on some illegal activities. Laughing now maintains the life as a double undercover agent, with crucial information from two sides. But an incident disturbs the balance of the two identities and threatens to blow his cover. With both the triad and police force suspicious of his loyalty, Laughing does not know who he can trust to save him.

Synopsis
Laughing (Michael Tse Tin Wah) is supposedly an undercover police officer who has infiltrated a triad organization. However, before he became a police officer, Laughing was a member of the triads and worked for the big boss man No. 1 (Anthony Wong). No. 1 was very good to Laughing, and Laughing looked up to No. 1 as his elder brother. In order to strengthen his business and illegal activities, No. 1 arranges for Laughing to join the Police Force and become his mole to gather information about the plans and counter-plans for operations by the police.

Laughing graduated from Police Academy with outstanding results but before he was assigned to a post as a police officer, his "bad boy" image attracted the attention of the Head of District Anti-Triad Squad, Superintendent Sin (Yuen Biao) who arranges his assignment as an undercover cop to infiltrate the mob syndicate.

Laughing is now a "double" mole. No. 1 was happy with this turn of events as Laughing was assigned to infiltrate the mob of his triad rival sibling (Francis Ng). To further complicate the situation, Laughing falls in love with Francis's sister, Karen (Fala Chen).

How will Laughing contend with the law, the triad brotherhood, and his love affair? No matter which camp he sides with, he is doomed to be a traitor to the other. Which path will Laughing ultimately choose to follow?

Summary:

Laughing (Michael Tse) is formally a police undercover. However due to a drug trafficking case, Inspector Pan (Felix Wong) is hot on his trails.

Before Laughing becomes a police undercover, he works under triad leader Yi (Anthony Wong). Yi treats Laughing as his own brother, however to protect his territory and illegal businesses, Yi instructed Laughing to join the police force and act as his undercover.

Laughing is a high-flyer in the police academy. However he never got a chance to join the force because he is specially picked by Inspector Xian (Yuen Biao) to be an undercover in the underworld syndicate. Hence Laughing becomes a “double-undercover”.

Yi is happy that Laughing is allocated to the triad of his rival (Francis Ng). To make his situation worse, Laughing falls in love with the triad leader’s sister, Karen.

Justice, brotherhood and love, what will Laughing decide on? His decision will be a turning point in his life.
