when i apply the patch it says patch already applied or different version and than when i open windows blind it comes up with the activation screen...

HELP???

Have you tried restarting it? Also have you made sure that there is no Windows blind process running while you apply the patch and also have you saved the license? You do that buy pressing save licence after you have patched the required file.

Also make sure there is no other version of Windows Blinds installed on your PC as that my cause some interference.

Okay then. Have you tried to uninstall the product and the re-install it? Also make sure you end the process 'WBVista.exe' and 'VistaSrv' And also 'wbconfig' and then try it as those processes will stop it working.

Try this
1) Install WindowBlinds
2) Close activation window (twice)
3) Start task-manager and kill: (end)
-> vista: WbVista.exe (and VistaSrv.exe if listed)
-> xp: WBINST~1.exe
4) Start the keyfilemaker and apply the patch to WbSrv.dll
5) Generate a keyfile and save it in the same folder
