Sid Meier's Pirates - Live the Life
Sid Meier's Pirates! - Live the Life ![]() You begin Pirates! as a small boy whose life is turned upside down when his family are kidnapped and enslaved by the evil Marquis of Montalban. The boy escapes capture, but his family are seemingly lost forever. Many years later you find yourself on a treacherous voyage, at the mercy of the waves, storms and the slave-driving captain of the ship. Sick of the treatment they have recieved at the hands of their employer, the crew mutiny, and name you as their new captain. Captain of a ship, and leader of a crew, you find yourself anchored outside a small town... a lifetime of adventure awaits you! But what will you do first? Pirates' open-world gameplay lets you do whatever you want to do, whenever you want to do it. Feel like hunting for treasure? A trip to the town's bar might get you the maps you need. Want to blast an enemy ship to smitherines? Load up the cannons and head out to sea! You might want to track down your missing family. Rumour has it that the Marquis of Montalban is still out there... Take a voyage around our mini-site and see for yourself all the different ways you'll be playing Sid Meier's Pirates! Minimum System Requirements Processor: 1.6GHz RAM: 512MB Graphics: 64MB Mac OS: 10.4 Hard Disk: 1.4GB Drive: DVD Input: Keyboard Recommended System Requirements Processor: 2GHz RAM: 1GB Graphics: 128MB Mac OS: 10.5 Hard Disk: 1.4GB Drive: DVD Input: Mouse This game will run on GMA graphics cards with shared RAM. Universal Application Designed for Intel and PPC processors ![]() Details on Gameplay Pirates mixes several different game types together to create an experience unlike anything else on the Mac. Use the arrows below to see some of the treasures Pirates! has to offer! Fencing and Swordfighting The 17th century was a violent age. Highwaymen, armed militia, and roving bands of hungry ex-soldiers infested "Civilized" Europe. Most men carried swords and had at least rudimentary training in how to use them. As a pirate, you can expect to engage in a lot of swordplay. In ship combat your objective is usually to capture ships without damaging or sinking them. Thus you board them and try to take them by storm, meeting the enemy captain in one-on-one combat! Sneaking About Town From time to time you may find it necessary to get in or out of a town unnoticed. Perhaps you've been making war on the Spanish and have discovered that your archenemy is hiding in a tavern in Cartagena. Lacking the manpower to take the city by storm, your only alternative is to sneak into the city, find the tavern and confront your foe. As you move about the enemy city, you'll see a number of guards on routine patrol. If you sneak up behind a guard you can knock him out. However, you're much better off keeping out of his way altogether. If a guard sees you he'll raise the alarm and dozens of guards converge on your position. Then it's back to the hoosegow for you, unless you outrun them! Sea Battles The game mechanics of ship battles are quite simple: you steer your ship, you raise or lower your sails, and you fire off broadsides. The challenge lies in learning how to use these simple tools to their best advantage in the ever-changing sea. Land Battles As captain of a pirate vessel, not only are you expected to lead your men to victory at sea, you must also be able to take them ashore to attack enemy cities. Here you may face enemy militia, infantry, cavalry, native warriors, and guards. Your men are not especially adept at shouldering muskets, saluting, and marching in line -- but they still fight like demons when facing the enemy. ![]() ![]() ![]() FILESERVE http://www.fileserve.com/file/fapWbyp http://www.fileserve.com/file/5PGRy4y http://www.fileserve.com/file/USMyXja http://www.fileserve.com/file/Shz5ZKk http://www.fileserve.com/file/kJs6Hwc http://www.fileserve.com/file/mKV7B9w http://www.fileserve.com/file/A9Aee7a http://www.fileserve.com/file/TZy5Sx3 http://www.fileserve.com/file/9eWzBDW http://www.fileserve.com/file/9x8dXP2 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TL7QUJSR http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9TU8A0WJ http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Q3QSULHN http://www.megaupload.com/?d=V3FJ19RU http://www.megaupload.com/?d=T3ODIVNK http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C2LGY2W1 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XDIL0PW4 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OHMPI5LM http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XIJJGPJY http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EB14MB7E http://rapidshare.com/files/205849885/Sid.Meiers.Pirates-patch.included.part01.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/205938103/Sid.Meiers.Pirates-patch.included.part02.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/205947447/Sid.Meiers.Pirates-patch.included.part03.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/206035985/Sid.Meiers.Pirates-patch.included.part04.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/206054354/Sid.Meiers.Pirates-patch.included.part05.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/206066966/Sid.Meiers.Pirates-patch.included.part06.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/206081615/Sid.Meiers.Pirates-patch.included.part07.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/206096906/Sid.Meiers.Pirates-patch.included.part08.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/206132554/Sid.Meiers.Pirates-patch.included.part09.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/206141968/Sid.Meiers.Pirates-patch.included.part10.rar psw:mac4ever Last edited by matmacosx; December 26th, 2010 at 10:02 AM. Found solution
is it possible to change the language. I only get spanish.
found the solution for changing the language: After installation and k goto the game dir, and cmd-click and choose to show package content. Then goto /Content/Resources/ and remove all languages except your desired one. This will launch the game in whatever language that you leave undeleted.
