Arrow Play App Store games on any Mac OS Version

This is a guide to get a game from the App store to run on a version of mac os such as 10.5.8.

i have 10.6 and the game wants me to have 10.6.6.

1.) right click on your game and select "Show Package Contents"

2.) Go into the Contents folder and open up The Info.plist with text edit.

3.) Locate the part that looks like this:

<string>????</string>
<key>CFBundleVersion</key>
<string>1.01</string>
<key>LSApplicationCategoryType</key>
<string>public.app-category.action-games</string>
<key>LSMinimumSystemVersion</key>
<string>10.6.6</string>
<key>NSMainNibFile</key>
<string>MainMenu</string>
<key>NSPrincipalClass</key>
<string>NSApplication</string>
</dict>
</plist>

4.) Where it says 10.6.6, change that to the version that you have. I changed mine to 10.6.0.

5.) Open the game up!

I had to drag Flight Control HD out of the folder it was in to get it to work. I do not really know why, but you do not really want it in the folder it comes with anyway.

Some plist files may look different. The Pinball HD app had one that looked like this:

bplist00fl

!"#_CFBundleShortVersionString_CFBundleIdentifier_ CFBundleInfoDictionaryVersion_LSApplicationCategor yType_CFBundleVersionYSUFeedURL_CFBundleExecutable _SUPublicDSAKeyFile_NSPrincipalClass_CFBundlePacka geType_CFBundleIconFile_CFBundleSignature_LSHasLoc alizedDisplayName_LSMinimumSystemVersion]NSMainNibFile_CFBundleDevelopmentRegion_NSHumanRea dableCopyright\CFBundleNameS1.2_%com.gameprom.soft ware.PinballHD.MacOSS6.0_ public.app-category.arcade-gamesR12_2http://updates.gameprom.com/thepinball/appcast.xmlYPinballHD[dsa_pub.pem]NSApplicationTAPPL\AppIcon.icnsT???? V10.6.6XMainMenuWEnglisho© 2010-2011 Gameprom company./LaÅùØπŒ„ˆ3Ohví≠∫æÊÍ
EO[in{ÄÅàëô$÷

It worked when i changed the 10.6.6 to 10.6.0

If you find a different looking plist try to locate where it says 10.6.6 and change that number.

This should work with any game and any app from the app store. \/
